Sean Collins-Smith

Sean Collins-Smith (CHICAGO P.D.; Michael Schur’s FIELD OF DREAMS) is a TV writer and national award-winning journalist from Richmond, Virginia. His pilot WONDER DRUG reached number one on The Black List website in 2021. 

In 2022, Sean wrapped his first staff writing gig on Michael Schur’s FIELD OF DREAMS reboot for Peacock. Two weeks later, he joined the room as a Story Editor for NBC’s hit drama CHICAGO P.D., for the 2022-2023 season. His episode, “FIGHT”, for which he received sole writing credit, was one of the top-rated episodes of the year. 

His newest pilot, SUICIDE MACHINES, which recounts the deadly Ford Pinto controversy of the 1970s, was the top-rated pilot on the Black List in 2024. He is currently repped at 3 Arts Management and Verve Agency.
