Action Plans for Low- and No-Budget Filmmakers

Action Plans for Low- and No-Budget Filmmakers from Pipeline Artists - Symposium on Vimeo.

Goes without saying, but film production is a huge task that requires—at minimum—a fundamental understanding of each phase of the filmmaking process. To help with the heavy lifting, producer Sharri Hefner offers her years of experience in bringing indie projects to life.

Learn methods for developing, executing, and releasing successful films when you have little access to money or resources. Sharri will not only guide you through best practices for taking your projects from idea to finished product, but also discuss how to sustain a long-term (and fulfilling) creative career in film.

In a nutshell: this session is all about strategy …

The presentation will cover:

  • How to develop ideas like a producer
  • Film finance for no to low budget filmmakers
  • Directing strategic for low budget filmmaking
  • Line producing
  • Pitching to attract resources
  • Distribution and marketing
  • Film Festival Strategies
  • Q&A

[Recorded September 28, 2022]
