Writing for the screen is a team sport. 

Whether you’re new to screenwriting or working on your hundredth script, you need great feedback and notes in order to make a solid plan for the revision process.

As a workshop leader and script consultant who has worked with hundreds of writers over the last ten years, this is a topic that is very near and dear to Merridith Allen's heart. She not only wants you to write the best scripts possible, but also wants you to enjoy the journey. 

In this workshop, she'll give you the tools you need in order to make the feedback/notes process as painless and effective as possible. 

She'll cover how to:

  1. Differentiate feedback from craft notes and learn when to use each.
  2. Discover effective strategies for how to present useful notes.
  3. Determine when and how to pitch ideas (and when to take a step back).
  4. Adjust your feedback and notes for different mediums.
  5. Find the “note behind the note” when you are confused.
  6. Take care of yourself as a writer, your story, and everyone on your team, draft after draft.
  7. Leave with a feedback template you can use time and again.

The workshop will be followed by a Q&A from all attendees.
